Sometimes the best colors happen by accident.
Summit wasn’t part of the original plan. I misread my dye notes and accidentally doubled the amount of dye for a batch of blue skeins. The result was a beautiful blue that landed somewhere between Mist and Last Light—right in the middle of the two Foundation shades I’d intended to make.
Nothing was wrong with it. It simply wasn’t what I had planned.
But when I saw the three blues together, I couldn’t bring myself to consider it a mistake. They looked almost like a little progression from light to dark, with Summit finding its place between them.
So an oops became a Signature.
Sometimes you just have to let the beautiful accidents stay.
